An Illness and an Education

I'm home sick today with a yucky cold (to use a medical term).

Actually, I feel grateful because I can't remember the last time I was sick. It must have been about a year, at least.

I'm resting, respecting the reality that my brain is not at its best. I'm watching TV, and as a teacher, I'm making sure it's something educational. It's the History Channel for me.

So far, I've found out that Sasquatch lives on Vancouver island in Canada, and now I'm learning about the piranha in the Lake of the Ozarks. I imagine the conclusion will be "inconclusive evidence" on both subjects, not a yes or a no, just a maybe.

Who needs school? There's so much to learn on TV. Maybe the next show will be about how Sasquatch is raising piranha in the Ozarks (for aliens). I like it when the pieces all fit together.
