Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment, Fairfield, Iowa, is in the process of completing a new outdoor learning center for its youngest students. The classroom was funded by a $32,600 grant from the AIM Empowerment Board, a division of the Iowa Department of Management and also local contributions.This classroom for Maharishi Preschool will be Southeast Iowa’s first certified Nature Explore Classroom. Built in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, the classroom is designed to connect children to nature.
